About me

Rusudan is an associate at Fortior Law. For over 6 years she has been advising clients on the matters of cross-border trade and investment transactions in Eastern Europe, Central Asia, and the Middle East. The main fields of her expertise include civil engineering, construction, and renewable energy.

Prior to joining Fortior Law, Rusudan was an Associate at a notable Georgian law firm and an arbitration trainee at Derains & Gharavi International. She holds degrees from the University of Oslo in International Trade, Investment and Commercial Law and the Geneva Master in International Dispute Settlement (MIDS). Rusudan is admitted to practice in Georgia and expects to qualify as an English solicitor shortly.

Representative experience
  • Negotiating and managing a highway construction project in Georgia involving a major Croatian investor.
  • Representing a Georgian company against a Japanese counterpart in relation to a construction dispute under the FIDIC Rules.
  • Obtaining provisional measures for an ongoing international arbitration in relation to a shareholder dispute involving a publicly listed holding company based in the UK.
  • Advising foreign investors on regulatory permits in the fields of construction and renewable energy.
  • Advising a number of international investors on corporate law, including M&A, shareholder disputes, a formation of JVs and partnerships.
  • Negotiation of large investment contract related to the oil and gas shipping transaction between a Kazakh investor and the government of Georgia.
