Anton Makhno is a Senior Associate at Fortior Law S.A., specialising in international commercial and investment arbitration, international human rights law, and cross-border litigation.

Prior to joining Fortior, Anton worked at a Ukrainian law firm, where he represented clients in international arbitrations and disputes across various courts, including the European Court of Human Rights, the London Court of International Arbitration, and the ICC International Court of Arbitration. He also was engaged into delivering complex legal opinions pertinent to various investment arbitration claims.

Before this, Anton gained valuable experience at an international non-governmental organisation. There he worked on legal opinions on international law, focusing on Russia’s involvement in Crimea and Donbas, and supported prosecution of international crimes by the Office of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine.

Anton holds an LL.B. and an LL.M. with honors from the National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy. He is fluent in Ukrainian, Russian and English and has been recognised in multiple international moot court competitions.
