We are delighted to announce the opening of our London Office. Following the establishment of our limited liability partnership (LLP) earlier this year, our new office opens on 1 August 2023.
Where
We are located just around the corner from the Commercial Court and 10 minutes away from the Royal Courts of Justice. The address is: Fortior Law (UK) LLP, Chancery House, 53-64 Chancery Lane, London WC2A 1QS.
Why
English law has always been at the center of our practice. London is the world's top legal hub for our main practice areas, namely international trade, shipping, and financial services. The vast majority of international shipping and commodity trading disputes are resolved in London courts and arbitral tribunals. With the opening of our London office, we now have the permanent local infrastructure in place to represent clients' interests before those fora.
Office head
We proudly announce the appointment of Youjin Jo as the Head of our London Office. Youjin is a dual-qualified lawyer (English solicitor and New York Attorney and Counsellor-at-Law). Having graduated from Soongsil University and the New York University School of Law, Youjin worked as a judicial clerk at the UN Tribunal for Yugoslavia, the International Criminal Court, and the New York Supreme Court. She then practiced for four years at WilmerHale in London under the mentorship of Gary Born. Aside from Youjin, we currently have two other experienced English solicitors and four English arbitration specialists qualified in other jurisdictions.
